Camp Quality UK |
We provide life-changing holidays for children with a potentially life-limiting condition that has a significant impact on their daily lives, including cancer the chance to be themselves and to have fun. We do this through a number of different projects and initiatives, including group holidays, where the children can enjoy activities like abseiling, sailing, archery, canoeing, rock climbing, swimming, horse riding, but also less strenuous pursuits including box games, crafts, entertainments, and visits to leisure parks. All these activities are supervised by properly trained and qualified staff. The holiday programme is structured to cater for all abilities and disabilities. We try to let children do what they and our medical team feel they can do. The care of children is our prime concern and it is with this is mind that we staff our holidays to ensure the appropriate level of expertise and experience. Every holiday is funded entirely by Camp Quality UK and is provided free of charge to each child. |

Over the Wall |
We provide residential activity camps during the Easter and summer holidays to children aged 8-17, who are affected by serious illnesses. At camp we help children rebuild their confidence and self esteem by encouraging them to take part in a range of activities such as kayaking, climbing, horse riding, archery, arts & crafts, technology and media, as well as a weekly talent show and disco. Perhaps the most remarked on part of camp from all the children is the number of new friends they make. We also ensure that siblings are not forgotten; during Easter and Autumn school holidays we run camps that give siblings a break from the stresses of home life with a sick brother or sister. The activity programme is exactly the same for both sets of children. |

Dreamflight |
Dreamflight is a registered UK charity whose purpose is to take seriously ill and disabled children on their 'Holiday of a Lifetime' to the theme parks of Central Florida. Lots of other charities do some wonderful things like funding research or purchasing medical equipment, but Dreamflight believes that fun and joy are just as important – especially for children who perhaps can't wait long enough for the breakthrough they need or whose illnesses and treatments have brought pain, distress and disruption to their lives. |

Josie's Dragonfly |
The Aim of Josie’s Dragonfly is two fold: 1. To provides a single Cash Gift of £500 to a child or young person where treatment is no longer considered curative. The money is for the child or young person to spend as they wish. 2. To provide crafts and activities for children on cancer wards. Katie's Ski Tracks |
Katie's Ski Tracks exists to give to disadvantaged children and young persons with progressive diseases, poor prognoses, varying disabilities, even terminal illness the unthinkable. A therapeutic activity, adventure, snow and fun, respite sporting ski "holiday of a lifetime". These are the very children in our society who because of their illness are normally excluded from school and family holidays. This no longer needs to be the case, as we are now the only British organisation (voluntary charity) to have all the expertise to enable such groups of children to participate and succeed in the new challenges set before them. Giving respite along with 24-hour care they can experience travel and the unique Winter sport of skiing just the same as their able-bodied brothers, sisters and school friends. Thus enabling parents/guardians the opportunity to give more quality time to the rest of the family, or to even take a well-earned break or a holiday for themselves. |

Tayside Children with Cancer and Leukaemia (TCCL) |
TCCL has been providing quality support of families with children who suffer from Cancer or Leukaemia since our founding in 1994. The diagnosis of Cancer and Leukaemia in a child causes tremendous stress for families who must struggle, physically, practically, emotionally, and financially with the intensive, intrusive treatment regime and the inevitable disruption it brings to family life. One partner may have to give up work to care for the child in hospital at a time when they are faced with significant extra expenditure for travel costs, childcare costs for siblings and subsistence in hospital. TCCL attempts to alleviate some of these stresses by organising group activities such as Panto Visits, Summer Outings and Parties. There is also a holiday fund which enables families to have weekend breaks at a location of their choice where they can spend time together, after perhaps protracted treatment regimes in hospital. Monetary assistance to families experiencing financial difficulties caused by the child’s illness, or to facilitate travel to hospital is also available. All applications are treated with the strictest of confidence and very little information is required by the committee. A speedy reply and provision of funds is the usual outcome. |
