| Immune System | The body\'s main defence system against infections or foreign substances. | |
| Immunosuppression | Suppression of the body\'s immune system and its ability to fight infections or disease. Immunosuppression may be deliberately induced with drugs. It may also result from certain diseases as lymphoma or from anticancer drugs. | |
| Inferior | Below, as opposed to superior. | |
| Inferolateral | Below and to one side. Both inferior and lateral. | |
