Talk about anything..say everything you need to but also news..read..or pray..the power of touch is seemingly important at these stages..I dont know how to massage but rubbed my mams hands and feet with nice oils and moved her legs up and down.
always hold his hand x

Hi Michele,

Welcome to BT Buddies, but I am so sorry you have the need to be here

You might find this article useful www.btbuddies.org.uk/carers-section/299-...-a-dying-person.html and as Claire has said just let Steve know you are there, be that by speaking to him or through touch, it's amazing how important it is to our loved ones just to know we are there.

Thinking of you both.

hello and big hugs,
i believe that up until steves last breath he will be able to hear you.
Talk about the good times youve had...laugh and cry but above all reassure him that you are right by his side. He mighten be able to acknowledge you at all but you can also take comfort that he can hear you and you can say to him everything that you so desire.
I spent the last few days of my dads life doing exactly as above. it fills me with such warmth now.
thinking of you both.

My loving, giving and very handsome dad was 1st diagnosed with a gbm 4 in April 09.
He fought a very brave battle but only lasted 9 short months.
He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving and dedicated family on 19th January 2010.
He remains my Hero x
